Virus's used the be the killer of all things Microsoft. Now there is a even bigger threat and its called Spyware. Its endemic on Windows machines and has caused untold havoc on many a system. But it can be tamed and yes even beaten.
While i highly recommend reading the article we wrote IE users losing the war. There are some very good tools out there, most cost money but there are a few gems that do a great job and are free.
There is no reason to run windows and not have these installed and run them from time to time to keep your system cleaned up. We will be adding to this article as time permits to include detailed installation instructions along with screenshots of how to run them.
